Generally speaking, I am a boy who does less exercise than average, and I don’t think I have a good health. But I want to change the situation. So, I decided to exercise more. However, I knew exercise can be tough and hard to persevere in, so I found a motivation to encourage myself. That’s the sea of Labrador.
About 3 or 4 kilometers from Eton hall, there is a wonderful resort named Labrador. Labrador doesn’t have a beach, so maybe this is why there won’t be too many people. But what Labrador has are the tall trees, the cute birds, the peaceful fishers, the beautiful sunset and most important, the blue sea. For a people who had lived far from the sea for like forever, it’s always exciting to see the sea, so it became the reason I run ever other day.
Up to now, I had run to Labrador just with my ipod twice, and I believe I will persevere. To run that far is not only because I want to be stronger or to see the sea, but also because I want to enjoy the silence which is precious in this on-the-go society. We all need to have a quiet space for ourselves to think about something, maybe something annoying you, and maybe the meaning of being. Every time I sit on the sea shore, I enjoy this kind of romance of being alone very much.
Above all, welcome to Labrador.
I think it is realy good to exercise regularly. It can help us to keep conscious in the morning, and have more energy to do our jobs. I am glad that you have recognised that you can benefit much from doing exercises. You can lose weight and be healthier. And the air in the morning is fresh. Maybe you can not find it's useful immediately, but it will bring you many things which you can not even imagine sooner or later. So just keep doing it.
ReplyDeleteThough I went to Labrador for barbecue some days ago, I didn’t quite get its beauty. I think it was because I was attracted by the delicious food so much that I overlooked the beautiful scenery around the area. Luckily, I read your article. As a result, I can recall how comfortable I felt while I was seated on the grass, with the wind touching my skin softly. Thank you for your work. It seems that you are a boy with deep thought and peaceful mind. And I’m glad to know that you are also interested in jogging and exercising. I hope I can join you some day, sincerely.
ReplyDeleteLuckily, I've been to Labrador three times. It presents the kind of beauty I love most. I strongly support your big plan—— to build up your stength. Though I thought about jogging to Labrador to appreciate its peaceful beauty. I found myself out of breath as soon as I got to the crossing. What I want to say is that my situation is much worse than yours. I hope I can back you up and gain some motivation from you.
ReplyDeleteObviously, Ipod is a wonderful companion to everyday life, and so is exercising. And I suppose that your choice to enjoy both at the same time is really brilliant(as well as losing weight!!).
ReplyDeleteMoreover, to spare some time to have a date with ourselves can also bring us the peace of mind.
For me, I am still hesitating since running may somehow lead to "sturdy" legs which is not so welcomed among girls^^ haha!! Whish myself a perfect way of exercising.
Questions. What are you listening with your iPod? Do you worry about its effect on your hearing? What time do you run there? I made a similar resolution to jog regularly when I left my last job more than a year ago. Our estate is only minutes away from the East Coast Beach but within 3 months, I left my running shoes in the cupboard. There are a couple of reasons why I gave up so quickly. Just as Junfei has commented a while ago, it has to do with determination. I talk about having a healthier body but it is really not all that important to me, if the truth be told. I have more confidence in you succeeding in what you set out to do. Happy Running!
