To Touch the Sound of Nature (Enya)

Off were the lights, gone was the moon in silence, lying on the bed alone was me whose soul were seeking the Sound of Nature.

At every noiseless night, I was always turning on my ipod to talk with a singer named Enya to ask "why"s, why she cannot easily miss the voice from the life, why she can calm down my unpeacefulness with few simple notes. She never answers, just tell the stories of the nature with her nice singing one by one.

May it Be, one of the stories, is the theme song of the movie the Lord of the Rings, when you was frustrated that the paradise described in the movie couldn't be brought into reality, do listen to this melodies of paradise to give a purification of your heart. And then you couldn't help appreciating the sunshine, worshiping the moonlight and believing the blinks of the stars full of the heaven.

My time flies is a tribute to the king of nature to embrace the freedom in life with gratitude. In Enya's own idea, "Time flies!"doesn't mean any complaint and regret about the lapse of year, but a sort of excitement that she can shuttle from the past to the future to rekindle the faded memories and predict the bright future. When will all these happen to your life? When one of your step on the moon and next step into stars, when crossing the streams barefoot, when you sleeping underneath the tree and an apple falling on your head, when the sound of nature telling the time to stagnate and fly......

Orinoco flow is a vividly description of the freely flow of a river. She is yearning to be sail away along with the river and carry herself on the waves to the lands that she have never been, to beach on the shore of the happiness. As long as the sound of the nature is there, the heart of pursuit will follow. Listen! The elves of the waves are smiling and dancing.

To gain the beauties of the nature is a fulfillment of one's spirit journey. Enya will lead you to a special way of reaching the truth of the works of God. Please open all your ears to the fabulous nature with her. I've been on the way there, and you?

  1. Is this a coincident or what? I also like Enya's songs very much, and I think that her voice really has the magic to placate one's uproaring mind. By the way, most of her songs you mentioned in this blog are adaptions from a music band called Bandari. So I strongly recommend you to listen to their music, and you may get amazed from them.

  2. I am intrigued by what the two of you wrote about Enya. I have heard her voice but not felt the power of it in the way you two have. But I have felt what you said about the power of songs to soothe us when we are troubled. Personally, I would have chosen Puccini's operas by way of illustration which I don't suppose either of you, by this I mean Daniel and Zhong Jun, will have any idea about. Should SM3 in future include songs by Enya or singers whose appeal is felt by many young people, much in the way that you have described. I would like to hear what your classmates have to say about this suggestion.
