the sea and me

We were friends many years ago:
My hometown is Liangshan, but I was born in Qingdao, a modern and crowed city near the sea. The seashore there is beautiful and somehow very attractive to a little boy. My mother often took me to the seashore for a walking when she was free. It was really wonderful to walk along the sea, watch the sea and listen to the sea. However, I never dared to touch the seawater which had a magic power in a little boy’s mind. It will grasp my hand and drown me, I thought. It was a pity that When my mother get me rid of this fear, we were about to go.
I missed her for a long time:
We moved to our hometown when I was four. That means I will miss the sea for a very long time as my hometown is quite far from the sea. I was sad to just watch the sea in the TV and books at first, but I got used to such things gradually. The books and the TV programs were all I have about the sea. However, when more things came to my life, such as toys, games and little friends, my interest was shared. As a result, I seemed to forget the sea gradually. Life was still continuing.
I happened to travel to a sandy beach when I was in secondary school. The experience was not exciting at all. I even cannot remember the feeling when I saw the real sea again. The sea seemed to be a big lake, a quite peaceful lake, which may be beautiful to many people, but not to me at that time.
I saw her again:
Then I came to Singapore four months ago, with all of you. I have been to Sentosa, Labardor and East Coast Park so far. You can saw a lot of ships everywhere. Many of my friends didn’t like it, but it is all right for me. The ships and the harbor gave me the feeling of the real sea, instead of the feeling of a lake. I love the sea in Labardor most, because it is more similar to the sea in my early memory.
